Dave up for Oscars!
Ruggie Media called Dave when they put together Sky One’s exclusive coverage of the Oscars 2007! He got to do the walk up yarn, as the glamorous and glittery of tinsel town made they’re way up to the stage at the Kodak Theater. Spelling Theater in such a silly way makes it feel even more big time. The highlight, being introduced by Fearne Cotton. Get in! Check the video on the Presenting and Telly page.
Dave voices first proper movie trailer!
If you're a fan of martial arts movies, you'll know about Tony Jaa. He's the guy who can do a vertical leap 2m from standing still and his new picture The Warrior King has just been released to cinemas nationwide. Dave got to voice the theatre and TV trailer. A result, Dave's deep-throat demo doesn't have to rely on a mock movie trailer about a bunch of z list celebs playing poker at 2 in the morning on a cable channel. Good. Watch it here.
Luther, Snow Patrol and Mariah – a Hearty new gig!
You can now hear Dave on Sunday afternoons on London’s Heart. It’s a pleasant show, with small bursts of easy talking from 1 till 4. Hear a bit on the Presenting and Telly page, or listen live via Heart1062.co.uk
Nice branding gig for Heart
Heart Radio’s Francis Currie and Mark Hall are important men in British broadcasting. They make sure one of the UK’s most successful radio brands is sounding proper sweet. They asked Dave to add some summer to Heart’s overall station sound, and he tried his hardest. The result is here!
Dave asked personal question during tv baptism of fire
Dave Kelly thought he was just a voiceover bloke and sometime local radio DJ, but the producer of Living TV's Ghost Towns, Ruggie Media decided to give Dave his own TV show. With no show reel or TV experience, let alone live TV experience, they stuck him on air for three hours, talking paranormal stuff, as host of Ghost Towns Live - After Hours. Dave said of the experience, "it was great - I got to sit next to Daniella Westbrook, interview a historian, and was asked ‘do you take it up the a**e?’ on live TV by a lippy caller from Swindon. It was the most terrifying experience of my life, apart from when I had an ingrown toenail removed - I needed oxygen for that". There's some footage on the Presenting and Telly page.
Sky get Dave to voice various things!
You can hear him introducing the shows like the Simpsons, Nip Tuck, and Lost on regularly on Sky One, and narrating Sky’s second search for a Football Icon! Check the video here.
Dave just scrapes new ghostly narration gig
Living TV's Ghost Towns is going up-market. On the last series, true to his World’s Most Messed Up Videos roots, Dave delivered a rather sensational narration, but this time Living TV wanted a more serious, journalistic tone. After a number of dodgy auditions and a battle to sound genuinely concerned about the plight of the programme contributors, Dave wangled it. Phew! |
